Supporting women on a wise journey of body image healing
Would you love to feel content and confident in your body without the niggling thought that it’s impossible without changing how you look first?
The Wise Body Hub is committed to supporting women who want this to be different for themselves…
The Wise Body Hub is for you if...
- You're a woman who is unhappy with your size or how you look
- You criticise yourself or feel embarrassed when you see your body or reflection
- Your fears of being judged for your appearances have depleted your self-confidence
- Your sense of self worth or feeling 'good enough' is closely tied to how you look
- You compare your body negatively to others or to your younger self
- You often diet or have a 'roller-coaster' relationship with food and exercise
- You spend $$$$$ on weight loss or appearance enhancement products and services
- You hold back from engaging in life activities or intimacy because of body insecurity
- You're concerned that your body image issues are affecting your children or partner
- You're super busy and interested in podcast-like lessons that offer memorable skills
The Wise Body Hub may not be for you if...
- You are suspected or diagnosed to have an active eating disorder
- You are suspected or diagnosed to have body dysmorphic disorder (BDD)
- This is because having symptoms that indicate a clinical disorder requires that you have appropriate treatment with a trained mental health professional
Statistics reveal just how much body image healing is needed...

“Being thin does not address the emptiness that has no shape or weight or name. Even a wildly successful diet is a colossal failure [if] inside the new body is the same sinking heart”

A Welcome from the Founder, Dr Salena Bhanji, Clinical and Counselling Psychologist and
Body Image Coach
Hi Wise Women,
I’d like to extend a big, warm welcome to any woman who has landed here because she is tired of sacrificing peace of mind to the bathroom scales, the calorie trackers, the diet influencers, the food noise, the weight discrimination or the inner ‘body’ critic. Instead, we provide a calm oasis for women who crave respite from the constant pressure to look, eat or move in a certain way.
To do this, The Wise Body Hub supports women to cultivate body wisdom as an essential part of the body image healing journey.
Body wisdom has the capacity to strengthen mind-body connection so that you can start to shift how you feel in your body not just what you think about your body. Body wisdom also brings about a deep, embodied sense of self that can radically change how you respond to the world’s attempts to keep you hidden and compliant.
The Wise Body Hub in a nutshell…
What we do is take you on a journey of body image healing;
How we do it is to support you in cultivating body wisdom.
Defining body wisdom (noun)/ 'bodi wizdem'/
1. Recognising and responding to your body’s felt-senses and emotional experiences.
2. Fostering a harmonious mind-body connection for well-being, resilience and holistic healing.
The Wise Body Wheel
The Wise Body Wheel is our signature model to illustrate five fundamental processes for cultivating body wisdom. The processes include:

Recognising
inner sensations, states and signals arising in your body.
Regulating
uncomfortable emotions and create balance in your nervous system.
Rewriting
stuck mindsets for meaningful new perspectives.
Responding
with effective behaviours that align with your core values and life goals.
Reconnecting
sustainable lifestyle habits that promote health and wellbeing.
These five Wise Body processes are supported by an extensive evidence base and form the foundation of all our body image healing courses.
And I said to my body, softly, "I want to be your friend". It took a long breath and replied, "I've been waiting my whole life for this."

“Body image healing is a paradoxical journey. It requires us to embrace softness and strength; engage in acceptance and change; and reconcile individual needs with social demands. To that end, we need wisdom to make it make sense”
